My Signature Soft Batch Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Butter softened (do not substitute)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 Tbls molasses
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1-1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1-1/2 cups packed DARK brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1-1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 12 oz pkgs semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375
Cream butter, eggs, molasses, sugars, vanilla and water in lg bowl
Add baking powder, baking soda, salt and flour
Add chocolate chips
Drop on ungreased cookie sheet
Bake for 8 minutes

Cookies will appear to not be done but they continue cooking on the sheet. Don't remove till cool and they will be done.
