Ingredients

  • 2 pkg yeast 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 T salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 7-8 cups flour

Preparation

Step 1

Dissolve yeast in ½ cup warm water & add 1 tsp sugar. Set aside. Mix together nest four ingredients, add yeast mix & beaten eggs. Add as much flour as you can while stirring. Knead on a floured board & continue to add flour. Oil a large bowl, & turn ball of dough around in it. Let it rise at least once & punch down.

Repeat

Melt a cube of butter, mix 1 cup sugar with “some” cinnamon. Cut off a piece of dough & roll to a 5-6” rope. Roll in butter & sugar and cinnamon. Tie in know & place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
