Meat Pie

When using the second pie crust for the topping, vent the crust with a few slashes.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 small to medium onion, chopped
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 c. barbeque sauce
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 or 2 8" pie crust OR 4 ounces grated cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Brown meat and onions and drain fat. Add next 5 ingredients and combine. Bring to boil and simmer 5-10 minutes. Place in pie shell and top with EITHER the other pie crust or the cheese. Bake 450˚ for 15 minutes.
