Ingredients
- 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped into pieces
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons water
Preparation
Step 1
Toast walnuts in a pan over medium heat,2-3 minutes. Combine toasted walnuts and remaining ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.
Spread pesto on a sandwich, on top of meat/fish or toss with whole wheat pasta. Enjoy!
