- 1/4 teaspoon sesame-seed oil
- 1/4 teaspoon soy sauce
- Pinch of white pepper
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 pound uncooked shrimp, cleaned and deveined
- 8 slices 2 day old, thinly sliced white bread
- 1 quart vegetable oil
Add sesame seed oil, soy sauce, pepper, and salt to shrimp; mix thoroughly. Cut 32 rounds from bread slices. Spread shrimp mixture evenly on 16 rounds. Top each circle with another round; press edges together.
Heat oil in deep pot until very hot. Drop each round into oil; turn to brown evenly. Takes approximately 2 minutes Drain on paper towels.
