Ingredients
- Crust:
- 2 cups cookie crumbs
- 6 tablespoons butter or margarine
- Cake:
- 14 ounces caramel
- 15 ounces evaporated milk
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
Crust:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
2. Mix crumbs and butter, press into the bottom and sides of a 9" springform pan.
3. Bake for 10 minutes.
Cake:
4. Melt caramels and evaporated milk in a small bowl in the microwave for 4 to 5 minutes or until melted; stirring every minute.
5. Pour over crust.
6. Top with pecans.
7. Combine cream cheese and sugar, mixing at medium speed until well blended.
8. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
9. Blend in chocolate and vanilla.
10. Pour over pecans.
11. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes.
12. Loosen cake from rim of pan; cool before removing rim of pan.
