MEATY SPAGHETTI SAUCE

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (I used 1 1/4 lb)
  • 1 lb italian sausage
  • 1 med green pepper chopped (I used 1 bag frozen if no fresh)
  • 1 med onion chopped
  • 8 garlic cloves minced
  • 3 cans 14 1/2 oz each italian diced tomatoes drained(I used 2 big cans italian tom. chunks
  • 2 cans 15 oz each tomato sauce
  • 2 cans 6 oz each tomato paste
  • 1/3 cup sugar (I used heaping 1/3c)
  • 2 T italian seasoning
  • 1 T dried basil
  • 2 tsp dried marjoram
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Preparation

Step 1

in large skillet over med heat cook beef and sausage until no pink
transfer to 5 qt slow cooker
stir in rest of ingred.
mix well
cover cook 8 hours
