Ingredients
- 1 T olive oil
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 medium bell peppers
- 2 large cans tomatoes (2 quarts)
- to taste salt
- 1 T oregano
- 2 T basil
- to taste herb seasoning
- 3 small bay leaves
- 1 t allspice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 medium lemon
Preparation
Step 1
Saute onion and peppers in ollive oil. Add pureed tomatoes and spices, sugar
and lemon. Simmer for flavors to meld.
