Ingredients

  • 2 t oil
  • 1 t ghee
  • 1/4 t turmeric
  • 3/4 t salt
  • 1/4 c. cilantro
  • 1 t black mustard seeds
  • 2 T curry leave
  • 1/2 t cumin seeds
  • 1/2 t fennel seeds
  • 1/8 t asafetida
  • 1 c. daal
  • 3-4 c. water

Preparation

Step 1

Toast spices in fat. Add daal and water; simmer.
