Alphabet Cookies, baked in a mold

Ingredients

• 1/3 C sugar
• 1/8 tsp. salt
• 1 stick of butter, unsalted, at room temperature
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 1 C = 2 T. flour

Preparation

Step 1

Mix together the sugar, butter, salt, and vanilla. Add flour and mix just until the dough is smooth and cohesive. Do not overmix.

For each cookie, press 2 tsp. of cough evenly into the mold.

Bake until dough is no longer shiny, but pale golden, 25 to 30 minutes. Let cool 15 minutes on a wire rack. Invert the pan onto cooling rack. If necessary, loosen cookies with a toothpick. Cool 30 minutes.
