Crockpot Venison with BBQ Sauce

Ingredients

  • ROAST
  • 3-5 Lb venison roast
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 12 oz. can of beer
  • BBQ SAUCE
  • 2 Qt jars of spaghetti sauce
  • 2 8 Oz cans tomato sauce
  • 1 small bottle of ketchup
  • 3/4 C brown sugar
  • 1/2 C vinegar
  • 2-3 red bell peppers
  • 2-3 onions

Preparation

Step 1

Cook the venison roast in a crock pot. Season with salt and pepper. Add the beer. Cook for 4 hours. Roast will be tender and easily shredded. Add the bbq sauce (see below).

Cook the ingredients for the bbq sauce together in a pan. Simmer for one hour.
