Velvet Fudge Cake

Ingredients

  • For Topping:
  • 1 1/3 cup Bisquick
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup cocoa
  • 3 tbs soft shortening
  • 1/4 cup milk plus 1/2 cup
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup or 1/2 package of semi sweet chocolate chips, melted
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 2 cup finely chopped coconut
  • Mix together.

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350F.
Grease and four 8 inch square pan.
Stir together bisquick, sugar and cocoa.
Add shortening, egg and milk.
Beat together for 1 minute vigorously.
Stir in milk and vanilla.
Beat 30 seconds more vigorously.
Pour half of batter into pan.
Spread with half of topping.
Cover the remaining batter.
Bake for 35-40 minutes.
Immediately spread the rest of topping. Serve warm.
