French Toast

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons corn syrup
  • 5 eggs
  • 11/2 cups of 1/2&1/2
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp Ameretto
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 8 slices of sourdough bread

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter, sugar and corn syrup and pour in the bottom of an 8x8 pan. Cut the sourdough bread into cubes and place in the pan.

Mix the eggs, ½ and ½, vanilla, amaretto and salt. Pour over the bread.

Bake 350 for 35-40 minutes
