Gigi's Gingersnaps

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Crisco shortening
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup Molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Cream shortening and sugar. Add molasses and egg. Beat well. Sift dry ingredients in a bowl. Add dry ingredients to the shortening and sugar mixture.

Rub some flour on your hands and place a tablespoon of dough in hands. Roll to form a ball, then roll the ball in the bowl of ½ cup sugar. Place the ball on a greased cookie sheet

Bake 350〫for 10 minutes. Do not let eht cookies get too dark.
