Strawberry Shortcake

This cake is great with cut up strawberries with juice from a little sugar added to the berries and vanilla ice cream! Be sure not to overcook the cake.

Ingredients

• 3/4 cup of sugar
• 1/3 cup melted butter
• 11/4 cup flour
• 11/2 tsp. baking powder
• 1/4 tsp. vanilla
• 1/2 cup milk
• 1 egg
• pinch of salt

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter in microwave
Add sugar, egg and vanilla
Mix salt, and baking powder to the flour
Alternate adding flour mixture and milk.

Pour into a greased 8x8 baking pan

Bake 20-25 minutes at 350〫
