Double Dutch Cookies

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup M&Ms
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup raisins

Preparation

Step 1

Beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy; blend in egg and vanilla. Add combined flour, cocoa, soda and salt; mix well. Stir in candies, nuts and raisins. Drop dough by heaping tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Press 3-4 additional candies into each cookie, if desired. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until edges are set. Cool on cookie sheet 2-3 minutes. Remove cookies to wire rack to cool thoroughly.
