Ma's Cold Oven Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp lemon extract
  • 1/2 pint whipping cream

Preparation

Step 1

1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well. Alternately add flour and cream until all incorporated. Beat in extracts.

2. Pour into greased tube pan. Put in cold oven and then set temperature to 325F. Bake 1 1/2 hours (including preheat time).
