Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. tomatillos, husked and rinsed
- 1 jalapeno
- 1/4 cup chopped white onion
- 1/4 cup packed fresh cilantro
- 1 Tbsp. lime juice
- 1/2 tea. minced garlic
- 1/8 tea. salt
- 1/8 tea. sugar
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat grill.
Grill tomatillos and jalapeno until slightly charred (4-5 minutes). Set aside until cool enough to handle.
Remove cores from tomatillos. Remove stem, skin and seeds from the jalapeno.
Puree tomatillos, jalapeno, onion, cilantro, lime juice, garlic, salt and sugar in a food processor until salsa is blended and slightly chunky.
