Fudge Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cups cocoa
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup sour cream

Preparation

Step 1

Prehead over to 325 degrees. In a large mixinng bowl, cream butter, sugar, and vanilla. Beat in eggs.

In a small bowl combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, and baking soda. Stir flour mixture into butter mixture, alternating with sour cream. Pour into a greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf. Bake 1 hour 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes in pan. Remove from pan and cool completely.
