Ingredients
- 6 tablespoons butter....softened
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup flour...sifted
- 1 cup flaked coconut
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup walnuts...chopped
Preparation
Step 1
Cream together butter, 1/4 cup sugar and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Stir in 1 cup sifted flour. Pat into bottom of a 9 inch square pan.
Bake at 350* for 15 minutes or til lightly browned. Beat eggs slightly, add vanilla. Gradually add 1 cup brown sugar beating til blended. Add 2 tablespoons flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Stir in coconut and chopped walnuts.
Spread over baked layer. Bake about 20 minutes longer or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool and cut into squares.
