Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons instant coffee crystals
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 2 packages ladyfingers, cut crosswise into quarters
- 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
- 8 ounces mascarpone, softened
- 2 cups whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup miniature semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
Step 1
1. Dissolve coffee crystals in water; set aside 1 tablespoon of the coffee mixture.
2. Brush remaining coffee mixture on cut ladyfingers; set aside.
3. With mixer, gradually beat 3/4 cup condensed milk into mascarpone in large bowl.
4. Add 1-1/4 cups of whipping cream, vanilla and reserved coffee mixture; beat until soft peaks form.
5. Fold in half the chocolate chips.
6. In a small sauce pan, melt remaining chips with remaining condensed milk.
7. Using 8 tall dessert glasses, layer mascarpone mixture, chocolate mixture and ladyfinger pieces, beginning and ending with mascarpone mixture.
8. Cover and chill at least 4 hours.
9. Beat remaining whipped cream and spread on top.
10. Serve
