Ingredients
- 1 -cut up fryer or 8-10 pieces of chicken
- 2/3 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons margarine
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire
- 1/2 cup sliced onions
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup catsup
- 1/2 cup canned mushrooms
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
Preparation
Step 1
Flour chicken. Fry in skillet until lightly brown.
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Place chicken in 2 qt. Casserole dish. In a saucepan, melt butter, add onions and pepper, cook until tender. Add mushrooms and remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil.
Pour over chicken. Cover and bake at 350 F for 45 minutes. Especially good if served with wild rice.
