Umeboshi Shochu

While traditionally this recipe is served hot, during the warmer months, cold water and ice cubes may be used for a different twist.

Ingredients

  • Umeboshi
  • 1 1/2 ounce Shochu
  • Hot water
  • Lemon garnish (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

1. Put 1 large or several tiny umeboshi in a glass.

2. Add shochu to the glass and pour in hot water to fill – adjust the strength of the drink by increasing or reducing the amount of hot water.

3. Serve hot, garnished with a lemon slice on the rim of the glass.
