Favorite Apple Crisp

Ingredients

  • 2 medium apples
  • 1 cup old fashioned oats (not instant)
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup (4 tbsp.) butter, softened

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mist a 8" square baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Core apples and cut into pieces with skin intact. Layer in prepared dish. In a bowl, toss together oats, flour, brown sugar and cinnamon. Add butter and stir with a fork until mixture forms coarse crumbs. Spread topping over apples. Bake 20 minutes or until topping is golden brown.
