marinated beef brisket

  • 2 Pounds beef brisket (not corned style)
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1/4 cup dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce



Step 1

Place brisket in a 13 X 9 inch (3 quart) glass baking dish or large resealable plastic bag. In medium bowl combine all remaiing ingredients; mix well. Pour over brisket, turning to coat; cover dish or seal bag. Refrigerate 8 hours or overnight. Heat oven to 325. Drain brisket, reserving marinade. Place brisket and half of the marinade (about 1 3/4 cups) in 13 X 9 inch (3 quart) baking dish cover. Discard remaining marinade. Bake 325 for 4 hours or until tender. If desired, serve meat juices with brisket.
