Mushroom Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 lb. mushrooms, any kind, cleaned and chopped
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 250 grams cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 loaf bread

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Sauté onions and mushrooms in butter until soft.

In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, Worcestershire sauce, and spices. Add the mushrooms and onions and mix well.

Remove the crusts from the slices of bread. With a rolling pin, flatten the slices of bread. Spread mixture on the bread and roll up. Brush the rolls with melted butter.

(Appetizers can be wrapped with plastic wrap and frozen at this point.)

Cut each roll in 3 pieces and place on a greased baking tray. Cook at 400* for 10-15 minutes.
