Garlic Green Beans

I found these surprisingly mild, considering how much garlic is in the recipe. This is another recipe where you can substitute different vegetables for the green beans. Try zucchini or yellow squash, asparagus, or broccoli.

Ingredients
- 1 Tbs. olive oil
- 4 cups whole green beans, ends trimmed (about 3/4 lb)
- 1 Tbs. slivered garlic
- 2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
- 1 Tbs water
- 1/8 tsp. salt, or to taste
Preparation
Step 1
In a large skillet, heat the oil over high heat. Add the green beans and garlic; cook, stirring, 1 minute. Add the lemon juice, water, and salt. Cook, stirring, until liquid evaporates and beans reach desired doneness, about 4 minutes.
