Ingredients

  • Crust:

  • 1

    pkg white cake mix

  • 3/4

    c butter, melted

  • Topping:

  • 3 1/2

    c pecan halves

  • 3/4

    c butter

  • 1/2

    c liquid honey

  • 3/4

    c packed brown sugar

  • 1/4

    c whipping cream

Directions

Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 17 1/2 x 11 1/2 jelly roll pan. Crust: Combine cake mix and melted butter, mixing until well blended. Press firly into prepared pan. Bake 15 mins or until light golden. cool 5 mins on a wire rack. Topping: Scatter pecans evenly over crust. For the most attractive appearance, turn rouned side up. In a large, heavy saucepan, melt butter and honey. all brown sugar. Boil 5-7 mins stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened and a rich caramel color. Remove from heat. Carefully stir in cream. Mix well and pour evenly over pecans. Bake 15 mins longer or just until topping is bubbling around sides of pan. Cool completely in pan on a wire rack. Cut into bars.
