Steak with caramelized onions and gorgonzola cheese

Ingredients

  • 1 T oil
  • 2 lg onion
  • 1 T brown sugar
  • 1/2 c beef broth
  • 1 T balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/4 t pepper
  • 1 lb sirloin
  • 1/4 c gorgonzola cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Heat 1T oil in large pan over med heat. ad onions and brown sugar and cook until tender and golden brown, about 15min.
add broth, vinegar and 1/4t salt and cook until liquid has evaporated 3-4min
transfer to bowl

sprinkle remaining 1/4t salt and pepper on both sides of steak. Grill until almost done, top with cheese and cook until melted, top with onions
