Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake

Ingredients

  • Filling:
  • Cake
  • 2 c sugar
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 2 c plain flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup of buttermilk
  • 1 t baking soda
  • 2 sticks of margarine
  • 4 T cocoa
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1 1/2 c crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 T peanut oil.
  • Frosting:
  • 1 stick of margarine
  • 1 box confectioner’ sugar
  • 4 T cocoa
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 6 T buttermilk

Preparation

Step 1

Mix sugar, flour and soda.
Set aside.
Mix margarine, cocoa, water, butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla in heavy sauce pan and bring to a boil.
Pour over dry ingredients and mix well with spoon.
Pour into greased and floured 9X13 pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

Filling:
Mix peanut butter and oil together and spread over cooled cake.

Frosting:.
Combine margarine, cocoa and buttermilk in small saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour mixture over confectioner’s sugar and mix with hand mixer. Add vanilla. Frost cake.
