Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb. butter (at room temperature)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla
  • 1 egg (at room temperature)
  • 1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

In 2 quart mixing bowl, cream butter until light and fluffy, beating in sugars with electric mixer on high. Beat in each remaining ingredient as listed. Add walnuts and chocolate chips.

Use mini scoop to measure dough-flat, packed scoops.
Place scooped cookie dough in freezer for 2-3 hours on cookie sheet.

Remove frozen cookies and place in Ziploc bags.
Place frozen scooped cookie dough back in freezer until ready to bake (can be stored in freezer up to 6 months)

*To Bake Frozen Scooped Cookie Dough:*

Spray Pam liberally on cookie sheets (do not repeat greasing for each batch).

Place the scooped cookie dough 2-½” apart on cookie sheet (12 per cookie sheet).

Bake cookies at 325 degrees convection oven for 13 minutes.

Let cookies cool on cookie sheets (on cooling rack) for 5 minutes.

Remove cookies carefully onto rack until cool for 20 minutes.
