Maple Pecan Crescent Twists

Ingredients

  • Glaze:
  • 1/2 c chopped pecans
  • 1/4 c sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon\
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 cans Pillsbury crescent rolls
  • 2 tbsp melted butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c icing sugar
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 375
combine pecans, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Separate dough into 8 rectangles, seal perforations. Brush each rectangle with butter. Sprinkle 1 tbsp nut mixture evenly over each rectangle.
Starting at longer side, roll up each rectangle, pinching edges to seal. With sharp knife,, cut one roll in half lenthwise, forming 2 strips. With cut side up carefully overlap strips two times to form twist. Press to seal cut ends together. Place on greased cookie sheet. Repeat with remaining dough. Sprinkle with any remianing nut mixture.

Bake 12-15 mins or until golden brown. Combine glaze ingredients. Drizzle over warm rolls.
