Shortbread Squares

Ingredients

  • 1 pound butter softened (no substitutes)
  • 1 cup sifted confectioner's sugar
  • 3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch

Preparation

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar
Combine flour and cornstarch, gradually add to creamed mixture

Pat into an un-greased 15" X 10" X 1" baking pan.

Pierce several times with a fork

Bake at 325 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until lightly browned

Cut while still warm
