Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts (I use boneless)
- 1 can chicken broth
- 1 stick BUTTER (not oleo)
- 1 quart 1/2 & 1/2
- 1 package frozen dumplings ( I use Mary B's)

Preparation
Step 1
1. Cover chicken breasts with water. Season with salt & pepper. When chicken breast come to a boil, lower heat & boil about 20 minutes.
2. After chicken breast are done, pour off some of the water, add chicken broth & stick of butter.
3. When ready to complete dish, add quart of 1/2 & 1/2, & bring slowly to a boil. Add package of dumplings. ( I cut dumplings in 1/2)
4. After dumplings are dropped in hot liquid, dunk dumplings & put in oven for about 45 minutes (400 degrees).
5. Every 15 minutes are so, check oven & dunk dumplings in hot white broth.
6. Serve over rice if desired.
