BAKED DOUGHNUTS

Ingredients

  • Icing:
  • 2 heaping tbls yeast
  • 21/2 C warm water
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 C sugar
  • 3/4 c butter, softened
  • 21/2 tesp salt
  • 4 c flour
  • 1 (21 oz) can of pie filling, any flavor
  • 1/2 c butter softened
  • 31/3 c [wedered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 6 TBL water
  • mix together

Preparation

Step 1

preheat oven to 350. Dissolve water and yeast together. In separate bowl beat eggs, sugar, butter and salt. Srir in yeast and flour, more if needed. Dough will be sticky. Transfer bowl to another bowl, cover tightly and refrigerate overnight. Next day rollout with plenty of flour. Cut with doughnut cutter (no hole) Place on cook sheet to rise. Indent top with finger, fill with pie filling. Bake 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool and dizzle with glaze
