Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c regular (not instant or quick) rolled oats
  • 1/2 c silvered almonds
  • 1/2 c toasted wheat germ
  • 1/2 c sunflower seeds
  • 1/4 c honey
  • 1/3 c frozen apple juice concentrate
  • Vegetable cooking spray
  • 1/4 c raisins
  • 1/2 c dried fruit, chopped (apples, apricots, or any other dried fruit)

Preparation

Step 1

Pre-heat oven to 300*. In a large mixing bowl combine the oats, almonds, wheat derm and sunflower seeds and set aside. Stir together honey and aple juice concentrate. Pour over oat mixture, stirring until coated. Spread mixture evenly in a 9x13-inch baking dish sprayed with vegetable cooking spray. Bake uncovered, for 45 to 50 minutes or until brown. Stir every 15 minutes and several times durning the last 15 minutes.
Remove from oven. Stir in raisins and dried fruit. Transfer to another pan and cool. Store in an airtight container.
