Fresh Strawberry Pie

You can use whatever pie crust you want for this pie. I do have a very simple pie crust recipe on this site, if you want to make your own. The crust should be baked and cooled.

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 cups water
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 1 1/2 tablespoon cornstarch
• 1 small package strawberry jello
• 1 quart fresh strawberries, cleaned and sliced or left whole.

Preparation

Step 1

Bake and cool a pie crust.

Boil water, sugar and cornstarch until thick and clear (about 2 minutes). Remove from heat and stir in small package of strawberry jello. Cool until lukewarm. Arrange fresh strawberries in the baked pie shell. Pour the prepared sauce over the strawberries. Refrigerate. Decorate with fresh whipped cream.
