Pumpkin Crumble


Crumble can be made thicker by doubling the ingredients used in the Pumpkin portion. Cooking time must increase to approximately 50 minutes. Cooking times can vary greatly..........

  • 1 Box Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1-2 sticks butter
  • 1 16-oz can pumpkin
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1-1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1/8 tsp cloves
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans



Step 1

Cut 3 Tbsp cold butter into 2 cups cake mix until butter is crumbly and well blended. Press into a 9x13 pan.

Mix pumpkin with milk, sugar, the add remaining spices. Pour pumpkin mixture into pan.

Measure remaining cake mix and then sprinkle evenly on top of pumpkin.

Determine butter necessary by calculating 1 tbsp butter for each 1/4 cup of remaining cake mix. Once you determine the amount of butter to be used, melt the butter and pour it evenly over the top of the cake mix.

Bake Crumble at 350 degrees for 30 minutes ........test for doneness with toothpick.

Sprinkle chopped pecans over the top about 15 minutes into the cooking time.
