Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter Frosting

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 4 tbsp cocoa
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 2 cups flour, sifted
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 stick margarine, softened
  • 3 tbsp cocoa
  • 1 lb powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 6 tbsp evaporated milk

Preparation

Step 1

1. Bring water, cocoa, and margarine to a boil. Add flour, sugar and salt to cocoa mixture. Mix well. Add eggs, baking soda, and sour cream. Pour into prepared pan and bake at 350F for 35 mins.

2. Cream together peanut butter, margarine, cocoa, sugar, vanilla, and milk. Frost while still hot.
