Brined and Broiled Shrimp
- 1/2 cup Kosher salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 about 2 cup ice
Brew salt, sugar and water together.
Put shrimp in brine and refrigerate. Add ice. Refrigerate for about 20 minutes.
Preheat broiler near top with pan. Put shrimp in large stainless bowl with a tablespoon of oil; toss in oil.
Toss in a bit of Old Bay seasoning. Put in hot pan.
Cook 2 minutes, turn, cook 1 more minute.
Toss in chilled bowl in freezer about 5 minutes, then place in fridge.
