Hoisin Meatballs with Pineapple

Ingredients

  • 1 pound (500 g) ground beef
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 teaspoons VH Soya Sauce
  • 1 bottle VH Garlic Hoisin Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup pineapple tidbits, drained

Preparation

Step 1

1. In a large bowl mix together beef, egg, 1/4 cup of VH Garlic Hoisin Sauce, bread crumbs and VH Soya Sauce.
2. Heat oil in large pan and brown meatballs and red pepper over medium-high, around 10 minutes.
3. Add the rest of the VH® Garlic Hoisin Sauce and pineapple, cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Serve over rice.


Tip
1. To incorporate some vegetables into this dish, sauté one diced red pepper along with the meatballs.
