Simple Salisbury Steak

Ingredients

  • 10 3/4 oz cream mushroom soup
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 c dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c onion, fine chop
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 T veg oil
  • 1 1/2 c fresh mushrooms, sliced (4 oz)

Preparation

Step 1

In large bowl mix 1/4 c soup, beef, crumbs, onion & egg. shape firmly into 6 oval patties of even thickness.

In 10" skillet over med-high heat, in hot oil, cook half pattiesuntil browned on both sides. remove; set aside. Repeat rest patties, drain off fat.

In same skillet combine remaining soup & mushrooms. Heat to boiling. Return patties to skillet. Reduce heat to low. Cover; cook 10 min or until no longer pink, turning patties occasionally.
