Ingredients

  • CAKE
  • 1 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Butter
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt
  • 2 Cups Cake Flour
  • 1 Tsp Soda
  • 3/4 Tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 Cup Banana (2 large ripe ones)
  • 1/2 Cup Sour Milk or Buttermilk
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla
  • CREAM CHEESE FROSTING
  • 1/2 Cup Butter (1 stick) - Room Temperature
  • 8 oz. Cream Cheese (1 package) - Room Temperature
  • 2 Cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1 Tsp. Vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Cream sugar & butter, add eggs and mix well, Add sifted dry ingredients, mashed banana, milk and vanilla. Mix well. Pour into 2 - 8" cake pans and bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.

Can make 1 1/2 recipes and pour into 3 - 9" cake pans for a taller cake.

Frost with butter cream or cream cheese frosting.
