Ingredients
- 3/4 c chopped onion
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 4 c water
- 1 1/2 c dried lentils
- 1 tsp crushed red pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1-14.5 oz can chopped tomatoes undrained
- 1- 6 oz tomato paste
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tsp beef bouillion granules
- 1/2 tsp dried whole basil
- 1/2 tsp dried whole oregano
Preparation
Step 1
Saute onion and garlic over med-high heat for 5 minutes.
Add water thru pepper; bring to boil, cover, reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Add tomatoes thru oregano. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer 45 minutes. Stir frequently.
