Ingredients
- 1 pie crust
- 2 large egg yolks
- 3 large eggs
- 1 pint cream
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp grated nutmeg
- 1 tsp butter
- 2 oz sugar
Preparation
Step 1
Pre bake the pastry shell. Add cream to a saucepan and bring to a simmer. Beat the eggs and sugar till light. Add the cream, slowly. Add vanilla and nutmeg. Pour into baked shell. Dot with butter and bake @325 for 30-40 minutes. Remove and cool. Monica puts a sprinkling of brown sugar and torches it like a brûlée.
