Ingredients
- 2 tsp Yeast
- 10 oz Water-90 to 110 degrees
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 18 oz Bread Flour
- Pinch of Salt
Preparation
Step 1
Add Yeast and Sugar to Water, set aside to activate.
In mixing bowl of stand mixture add flour and salt, mix. Add yeast mixture, mix 10 to 15 minutes.
Cover with plastic wrap, place in warm area at 100 to 110 degrees let rise. When dough is double the size, punch down, roll into a ball place back into bowl rewrap and let rise again.
Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees.
Punch down again. Roll dough into loaf shape. Egg wash top. Place on parchment paper lined being sheet. Put thin slices on top. Cook for 25 to 30 minutes or until browned. For Italian bread add olive oil.
