Honey Bun Cake

Ingredients

  • Cake:
  • 1 pkg yellow cake mix
  • 3/4 c vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c sour cream
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 1 TBSP cinnamon
  • Frosting:
  • 2 c powdered sugar
  • 4 TBSP milk
  • 1 TBSP vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 325. Butter a 9x13 pan.

2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, oil, eggs and sour cream. Stir by hand, approximately 50 strokes or until all large lumps are gone. Pour 1/2 batter into pan.

3. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over batter. Spoon other half of batter over cinnamon sugar. Swirl cake with a knife so it looks like a honey bun.

4. Bake for about 40 minutes. Frost while cake is hot.


Frosting:

1. Whisk powdered sugar, milk and vanilla until smooth.
