Chinese ramen noodle salad

Ingredients

  • Sauce:
  • 2 pkg ramen noodles
  • 1 pkg coleslaw mix
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 1/2 cup slivered almond, or other nuts
  • 2 tblsp sesame seeds
  • 1 small can pineapple tidbits or mandarins oranges
  • 1/2 cup julienned red bell
  • 1/4 cup finely sliced celery
  • 1/2 cup vegetabe oil
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/3 cup sugar, or honey
  • 6 tblsp rice vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Preparation

Step 1

Put the seeds, the almonds, and the broken up ramen noodles on a cookie sheet and broil for 2 minutes to toast. In a saucepan heat the sauce ingredients till the sugar melts and the ingredients combine. Put the veg in a salad bowl and toss with the noodles and sauce. Refrigerate.
