Nuts, Spicy-Sweet Mixed nuts

Ingredients

  • Using unsalted nuts helps you control the amonf of sodium in this mix.
  • 1 egg white
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 taspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1 cup unsalted cashews
  • 1 cup almonds
  • 1 cup unsalted peanuts

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Line a large jelly-roll pan wtih parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together egg white, brown sugar, salt, chili powder, coriander, and ground red pepper. Add pecans, cashews, almonds, and peanuts; stir until nuts are thoroughly coated. Spread nuts on prepared jely-roll pan.

3. Bake for 15 minutes; stir nuts, and bake for 5 additional minutes.
