Ingredients
- 4 cups sliced fresh apples
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup cold butter
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1tsp vanilla
- 1 cup rolled oats

Step 1
preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease baking dish. arrange sliced apples evenly in 8" x 8" baking dish. mix flour, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl using a pastry cutter, fork or fingers - mix until evenly crumbled.
fold oats into flour mixture, sprinkle and press topping over apples. bake in preheated oven until fruit is bubbling, and topping is lightly browned - about 30 mins. allow dish to sit for a few mins before cutting and serving.
serve warm with ice cream, whipped cream or drizzled caramel sauce.
